How to choose contact lens?

Was chatting with my friends one day that we suddenly talking about contact lens. I am always curious with what contact lens other people wear for a whole day. This is because for myself, normally i will feel discomfort in my eyes after just one or two hours of wearing contact lens especially the coloured one. I am so envy of others who could just wear the lens for the whole day without any drying problems. Normally i will feel dryness in my eyes easily, it is just the lens are going to fall out of ur eyes socket anytime. Too dry i guess. So today i got two tips which i am going to share with you gurls now!

Firstly, do you normally concerns about the water content of your contact lens?

Do you notice about the water contents of the lens every time when you are choosing which lens to buy?

I got this pair of lenses free for trial, if you would like to try on it, you can log on to their website and register to get ur free trial lenses. The pair of lenses is the normal one, not the coloured on and it is bi-weekly. I checked online and its water content is 47%.

For the Freshlook colour blends, one of the colour lens choices, its water content is 55%, a bit small if you see from the picture, notice the circle?

I used to order my Geo lens online. But after knowing about the water content thingy, i don really use Geo lens now. See, only 38% water content. You will really feel discomfort after mayb 3-4 hours of wearing the lens. Thats what i always feel when i am wearing Geo lens, i thought my eyes are sensitive or what.

Always choose contact lens with higher water content because it will be more comfortable and highly reduce eye dryness. But, for your information, normally the uncoloured contact lens are more comfortable than those coloured one.

Secondly, do you use any lubricating drops of eyes?

I just found out there is this kind of lubricating drops when i visit to one of the optical shop to purchase my contact lens one day. This is different from the usual eyemo we see in the market. Please don use "eyemo" when you are wearing lens, it is for eyes that experience discomfort when you are NOT wearing any lens. Anyway, of course, this is more expensive than the normal eye drops. Costed me RM 8 for a small bottle of 8ml. When u feel dryness in ur eyes when wearing lens, the lubricating drops really helps a lot. I bought the one from RENU. My friend recommend the one from Alcon too. You can use the eye drops with the lens on.

So girls, any more tips to share about contact lens?

Personal experience:

The lens are quite comfortable to wear when you first open it. Geo lens are actually for one year usage. But normally, i only use it for one - two months. I don think the lens can last up to one year. One reason is because of hygienic and another one is after one month of continuous wearing, i will start feeling dryness in my eyes and will need to use those lubricating drops.

The pictures after i wear Geo Angel Brown. My eyes look prettier i think. I actually love this lens because it enlarge my eyes and it looks natural on me too. But somehow, Geo doesnt convince me so much to continue to use them. I prefer something from optical shop. For your information, the water content of Geo lens is 38% only, so low compared to Freshlook's which has 55%.

Repurchase: Occasionally because i prefer to buy the contact lens from optical shop, i have only one pair of precious eyes >.<

Maybelline: Clear Smooth All In One Shine Free Cake Powder with SPF 25 PA++

Bought this in Sibu when i was shopping with the bf one day. It was on sale in Watson so i just bought it because i haven got a pressed powder foundation. Getting tired on the liquid foundation because i found it so hard to apply on. So thinking of trying this one.

Personal Experience:

Pink case, i like it! The case is a bit big for me to put into my bag but never mind, i like larger mirror inside too. Puff has its own seat too. XD This is good as the powder will not be wasted compared to those puffs which are just placed on the compact powder.

I got myself the shade in Nude Biege because bf said this is the closest to my skin tone. Sometime, during lazy time, i prefer to use powder foundation rather than BB cream or liquid foundation. Those are for the days when i got lots of time on. I prefer natural make up too so a bit of powder foundation on will be perfect for me to cover up my freckles and some facial pores. Of course, to make my skin tone more even too!

I use a brush to apply it on my face.

Picture after. Coverage on most of the skin flaws and especially you can see that my skin has even tone now.

It keeps my face matte and fresh which is natural from my definition. It does not cake too. Sometime, i use this as my settling powder too. I have no breakout or any allergic reaction.

Compared to the puff, i prefer using the baby kabuki to apply the foundation on my face. This is because when i use the brush, the coverage wont be so heavy and it looks more natural as compared to when puff is used.

I am very satisfy with its performance. It is cheap and affordable. Some more, one highlight is that it has SPF 25 for you! Quite lasting too.

The only thing that i don like about it is when i am sweating, i will feel some tingling sensation on my face which is not so comfortable. But it will be ok if i am not sweating, so perhaps there is some reactions between my sweat and the pressed powder?

In a nutshell:

- All day shine control (I don see obvious result of this)
- UV protection (I apply a layer of sunscreen before i apply the powder on)
- Fairer skin (Fairer? not very obvious, mayb is the foundation tone choice)
- Conceals (Yes, it covers most of my freckles)
- Long wear (Yes, but not if i am sweating heavily)
- Smoother (Nod nod )
- Evens (Definitely!)

Conclusion: I think pressed powder foundation will last me for a long time before i need to purchase one more. :)

Thanks Yuberactive that i actually got the blusher which i want, yeah! A bit sad though cause i didn get the nail polish >.< but never mind, the blusher is what i want to have too. ;)

The colour is got is #18 soft cardinal.

It is a cream blush and its size is actually quite small. Perfect size for your bag. But believe me, you only need a little each time unless you wish to have a very attention-seeking pinkish cheeks. The texture of this cream blush is a bit sticky but it is quite pigmented.

See the colour on my hand. Somehow i feel like it is like when we use lipstick to apply as the blush. The colour is a bit sheer but just nice and natural for me.

I use my finger to apply the blush as it is convenient and fast. Tap on the blush and apply it on ur cheek following by blending until you got the intensity you want. The only con is that you have to wash ur hand after that. Notice my cheek? Pinkish and natural!

I apply settling powder after that. The blush lasts quite long after all. Am very happy with it!

Conclusion: Love it!

I bought this because my bf is complaining about my hairy legs. Plus i love to wear shorts too. Ever since i got some burning sensation on my right leg which left me a scar after i first used the Veet Hair Remove Mousse. I dono why i would get the burning sensation, may be it is not suitable for my skin? Thats why, i don bother to shave my legs also, let it be. Until my bf told me about this Veet EasyGrip Ready-to-Use Wax Strips.

I choose the one with Aloe vera because i have dry skin. I only use this on my legs. The pack come with a leaflet with instructions on. Good news for those who are busy every time, you don have to wait! Now, let me show you how to use the wax strips.

First, i rub the wax strip between my hands to warm the wax.

Then i peel the strips apart into 2 pieces. You can use both the pieces. Place the strip on ur leg and rub the strip repeatedly in the direction of hair growth. Then, pull the strip against the direction of the hair growth. Make sure you do this fast. The faster you remove the strip, the more efficient it will be. At first, due to the fear that it will be painful, i pull off the strips slowly. Guess what, only a few strands of hair is removed and those sticky wax are left on my leg. Just about to complain about this was strips and i tried for the second time which i remove it fast without realising it. Suddenly, a whole bare area i got on my leg which the strip is applied. Really, if you remove it slow, it will be really really painful, but if you remove it fast, it wont be so painful. Finally, remove the excess wax with a Perfect Finish wipe.

The wax strips are really easy to use. And luckily my skin does not show any negative reaction after using the wax strip. If you are afraid of any sensitive reaction, make sure you test your skin reaction first. Apply some was on ur skin and wipe it off and wait for 24 hours to see if there is any uncomfortable or redness.

Now my legs are really clean and away from hairiness. I haven try on my underarms and bikini lines. Heard that it is not so efficient. So i will just use this on my legs :)

Repurchase: Of course! It is so easy to use, convenient and affordable too! Ya, i agree with Veet, wasxing has never been so easy!

Bought one set of Ecotools for myself as a preparation to Japan, who knows i need to make up there although i don really prefer to have make up on my face. Quite a lazy person so i cannot expect myself to clean up my face really well. I bought the five in a set one instead of another set of the ecotools. Both set have different brushes but i think the five items suit me better.

Personal experience:

Was super excited when i got my parcel because this is the first set of brush that i bought.

The 5 piece set includes a pouch, and 4 types of brushes. The brushes are foundation brush, concealer brush, kabuki brush, eye blending brush. The brushes are really soft!!!!

Starting of with the foundation brush. I use it to apply my BB cream and the brush really does it work. Satisfy with it. I use it as my blush brush sometime too.

This is the baby kabuki brush. After BB cream or foundation, i use this to apply the loose powder. It set the makeup really well. Awesome coverage.

This is the concealer brush. But i prefer to use my finger. I use this as my eyeshadow brush instead.

This is the blending brush. It smooth out the harsh lines well !

This is the storage pouch given. It is made up of 55% hemp linen and 45% cotton which is eco-environment. However, i don think i would use the pouch to store my brushes because they are a bit smaller and i am afraid my brushes might have their shape and bristles deformed. Hardly fit the brushes i think.

Conclusion: It is a very affordable make up brushes set for a beginner like me and i am loving it! It is great travelling size make up set for me too!

The first moment when i open the package, i smell a strong scent of lavender. The floral design of the mask sheet is pretty enough to attract me too. Eagerly, i put on the mask on my face. The mask essence is quite little, not much like those usual mask. But just nice to keep my face hydrated. The only thing i don really like about this mask is that the nose part design is not so ideal. It hardly cover my whole nose. I feel some cooling sensation on my face as soon as i put the mask on. Leave it on my face for about 15 mins. Quite refreshing and my face is rehydrated again!

Conclusion : Not a bad choice of mask though.

Alright, back to my blog after a long while of MIA. Actually enjoying myself in KL before flying back to my home town and i took a rest for a few days before actually thinking of completing the review job that was given to me. This time i got a nail polish ! So happy as i didn get the one from last month :(

I got the pink one : Fuchsia Power!

Personal Experience:

I am not a fan of nail polish as i have imbalance size of finger nails >.< it wont be pretty when i apply nail polish on. I hardly have any chance to grow my nails long enough. It always fail! I have dark skin too as compared to other Chinese girls too and this make drawback from having nail polish on. But this time, nail polish from Sally Hansen is on the list so i gave it a try. Got the Fushia Power, every girls' love rite? Pink Pink Pink! I guess this is the safest colour among the four. Well, suit my characteristic which i will always go to the safe side when choosing things :)

Tried it on and these are what i think. The nail polish is quite thick and concentrated so of course it dries very fast. Pro is you can have your nail polish ready in faster mode but the con is you have to apply it faster or else it will dry before you realise it! Although the nail polish is highly pigmented, i am surprised that it is easily removed by using nail polish remover. Clean for you to start on a new shade! Bonus points i am giving it.

I have two coats of the nail polish on. It is shiny enough so i don need an extra top coat :) It looked very opaque and thick i can say. I am now on the third day of wearing this nail polish on. Lets see how many days it can stay on without any chipping off. One con i have to mention out is that i found that it is prone to air bubbles and i don really like this. The air bubbles make the nail polish looked not smooth on my finger nails. For the brush, i am actually quite satisfy with it. It is not so flexible and that is what make my application easier as i have larger area of nails size. Those thin and flexible brush seriously make me have a hard time when i apply the nail polish.

Conclusion: Love it! But i would like to try the blue one XD

A strawberry delight to moisture and purify which leave skin hydrated and cleansed. Strawberry puree is rich in vitamins. Vanilla is calming. Aloe vera soothes and peach kernel oil is moisturising. Wow, this mask sounds so yummy right? Ya indeed, it smells so so nice! Feel like wanna have a lick to see how it taste.

The mask is in creamy form. You can see there are micro beads too. Those micro beads help in exfoliating the dead skin off. I apply the mask onto my face, quite a thick layer but i found some more left inside the package still. With such a generous amount, i can left the remaining for the second time of application. I love the cooling sensation. Left for about 20 minutes, i wash the mask off. Guess what, i got smoother and moisturised skin ! And this is what mask are for!

Repurchase: Definitely worth it! Would like to try the other flavour too :)

Personal experience:

This range of lipgloss comes in 13 shades but i am given one of the shades for review purpose : #303 Dare to Stay. When i receive the lipgloss, i was quite hesitated to have a try on it because it looked so pink, more towards the dark pink shade. I personally don prefer anything too dark because it will only make my lips look bigger which i don like. But of course, there is no harm trying right?

I like the applicator very much, look at the picture and you will know why :) It has a thin tip which make it easier to apply on. Easy and smooth i can say. The lip gloss is quite sheer but it is enough to make my lips glossy. Not so sticky or heavy. Something i found about this lipgloss is that it works like a lip balm. My lips are quite wrinkled when i first apply the lipgloss on, but after i while, surprisingly i found out that my lips are becoming more moisturised--- less wrinkled. A bonus for it! I like the glossiness of this lipgloss. It can stay for quite long, but sometime, the glossiness might just go off after having meal. But it doesnt matter, i will just reapply again. For the smell, i think it is just ok, not too strong for me to refuse using it. The packaging is just normal though. If got the chance, i would like to try out other colour for this range too!

Souvenir from Austria!

Jia Lin and ah Hoo finally back last Thursday and i got to meet them in UTP!

Jia Lin is still as sweet as before, only the hoo very bo xim no come visit us, so instead, i go to Shih Gin room to find her in the end, bad Hoo!

Anyway, we had a nice outing on Friday and i got some souvenirs from the two girls far far away brought back from Austria!

Personal Experience:

It is a waterproof mascara. The texture of this mascara is not so concentrate but not watery too, which is just nice to apply on. It does not clump easily like that of the other brand mascara i have used before. The brush of the mascara is well designed with narrower tip in order to help us with the application of the inner eyelashes. The brush helps to spread out my eyelashes equally too which create tidier looks. It does not irritate my eyes as well. The mascara is easy to remove also although it is waterproof. But make sure you use the make up remover not plain water.

However, one of the thing i don really like about this mascara is that it will smudge after long hour of wearing. If you are planning to have ur mascara on the whole day, mayb you can consider using other product.

Four layers of mascara on! No clump and only a little bit of flakes rite? Impressed!

Personal Experience:

I have tried the cleansing foam of the brand before and it gives me satisfactory result. This time, i am going to try out its moisturising cream.

The texture of this moisturiser is soft and light. But when i first apply this on my face, it feels so heavy and waxy, so uncomfortable, and it smells exactly like that of cleansing foam. Don really like it at first plus it is a bit hard to apply on. However, i still wait for a while giving it a chance, luckily, it doesnt disappointed me, the cream settle in my skin quite fast and i don feel any stickiness after that. Non stickiness and non greasy is always my top priority when i am looking for moisturiser and this cream has both! Non-comedogenic and hypo-allergenic again, it wins! My skin feels moisturised and i am really impressed.

For me, this cream can actually be used as a day cream or night cream either. My face is combination skin, oily T-zone and drier area on the cheeks. But i feel comfortable when using it on the day time although i need to apply some sunscreen on my face after the moisturiser. I somehow don really like product which combine moisturiser and sunscreen purpose. It feels like it can clog my skin easily. So i always prefer moisturiser only moisturiser.

A cover inside, although it is just a thin plastic but it is enough to prevent the content from spilling when you bring it while travelling.

I don really prefer a tub form for any facial product because it is so unhygienic. Unless you can make sure you wash ur hand every time when you wanna dip ur finger into the little tub. I am a lazy person so you don expect me to do so. Still prefer some pumping or tubes can be too.

After a week of using this, i find out that my face doesnt get oily easily like when i am using the L'oreal one. Skin maintain firm and gain elasticity. What i can say is that this moisturiser does what moisturiser should do and most importantly, it is suitable for sensitive skin person. And another adding point is it is made of Vitamin E which is good for your skin!

With such a cheap price of the cream, it is really worth to have a try on this!

I love the packaging as there is a cover inside. This can prevent the content from spilling out when i bring it out for travelling :)

I think it is more to a make-up base than a moisturiser. If you want to get instant brightening or luminous effect, remember only apply a thin layer on you face and let it settle down for a while before you apply your makeup. Do not apply too much or you will end up looking like a "geisha" =.='' I was not aware of this when i first using it, and i apply a thick layer on my face. And you can imagine me with a weird skin tone, not fair or pale but look like i apply a too bright foundation which doesnt suit me on my face. But luckily after a while, the moisturiser does settle in my skin.

This moisturiser works as the normal moisturiser, nothing special. But my skin get oily easily after using this moisturiser. I guess it should be more suitable for dry skin. However, the pros are, it helps me with my uneven skin tone. My skin regain the radiance after one month using it. Skin is firmer. It also doesn't cause me any breakout too.

I still think i can find some other better product than this.

This is the second eye cream that i have tried on. It is a cheaper product as compared to other brands' eye creams. Nothing special to talk about this eye cream actually. But after two months of using it, i can see that my puffy eyes getting better and the dark eye circles did fade a bit but not until it all disappear. It is good enough to me with such a price. Another happy thing i feel about this product is that it helps to firm up my eyes area, make it more prone to wrinkles. Besides, I am very satisfy with the tube form of this eye cream, very hygienic. I do not like those in a tub form. The eye cream is transparent in colour and no, it is not sticky at all :)

One tips i wanna share with you all when applying eye cream is that always use ur ring finger tip(the fourth), slowly and gently apply the eye cream on ur eye area due to the reason that our eye area is more sensitive.

Repurchase: Yes! It does all the requirements of an eye cream.

Was chit chatting with my friends one day that suddenly we talked about Geo lens. They asked me how come i still dare to wear the lens despite there are so many fake lens around the market that we don even know which one is authentic which one is fake.

Then i think this will be a good topic to share with you all.

I normally bought mine from Purple lens.

Geo Medical have launched the Anti Fake system starting from 1/4/2009.

With every lens you bought, there will be a sticker as the picture below attached below the vials.Scratch the sticker and you will find 20 digit code which is for you to check the authenticity ofthe lenses at Geo website, http://geo.fw1860.com/.

Beware of the size of the sticker!

I search for the internet on how to enter the code in the column but i cant find any on that.

Try a few times finally i got the right way!

Type in the code from left to right. Remember the capital letter and put a space after five digits like that in the picture above, see the sticker.

For example,

then click "Anti Fake" button and you are done!

Both of my lenses are genuine, yeah!

Personal experience:

The nozzle of the bottle is quite big, but luckily the serum is not as runny as water, so you just need to pour it carefully on ur palm before application. I do not like the opening of the little bottle, but what else you can ask for when u can get this serum at such cheaper prices as compared to the original size bottle. The original size bottle is equipped with the dropper though. The scent of the serum is not so pleasant, but i already get used to it. The texture of the serum is not sticky and oily which make me love it very much and it get absorbed easily into the skin.

After one week using this serum every night, i find out that my face doesnt get oily easily on the T-zone and the drier zone get hydrated too. The whole face complexion is getting better, especially the uneven skin tone. My face gets hydrated, smoother and firmer too. I didn experience any breakout or allergic reaction after using this product.

I am amazed with my skin every morning when i wake up if i use this serum the night before. But i don use it every night because my purse wont allow me to do so, it will bleed XD what i can say about this serum is, it does what it claims!

The only thing i don like about this serum is, the original size will cost u a bomb >.<

I used to knot this when i am in primary school, it was fun knotting together with friends that time. We bought different kind of colour and knotted it as present for friends. Sometime, we knotted it for ourselves as key chain. During that time, if girls don knot this, you are considered outdated!

Scoubidou is actually quite similar to this. Just that it is the square version and it uses plasticised PVC string. The basic knotting skills are the same and you can knot different thing out of this.

Personal experience:

I choose the cherry tube but there are other flavour available, do hope over to the site if you wish to know more. This is the nozzle of the lip balm, different from the usual lip balm we see right? The lip balm is in transparent gel form. The lip balms i used before are all in the form of click stick. It is shiny on ur lips and somehow i think it works like lip gloss too :)

I use Lipice before i found Carmex and there is no turning back after this. Lipice lip balm is useless on me because i don get any positive result from it, my lips still remain dry and flaky after i apply many times the lip balm on. But it is different with Carmex! My lips remain moisturised for whole day after only one application, no more scaly feeling. One more point i like about this lip balm that is the product contain SPF 15. We need it for our lips too! The scent of the Cherry tube is really strong and too sweet which i don really like at first, but now i already get used to it. Picture below shows the before and after the application of Carmex lip balm.

For the pricing, it is a bit more expensive than the lip balms that we can get from the local drug store. However, it is really worth of the price considering the results that you can get from Carmex. It really does what it claims.

Totally recommend this for those who have dry lips 365 days like me!

Believe me, your lips need moisturising too!

Few tips about moisturiser

Share a few tips on the moisturiser which i know with you today!

1) Apply moisturiser on damp/moist face.

Your skin can absorb the moisturiser easier if you apply when your face is still damp. Not only moisturising, if you apply on damp face, the moisturiser can actually help to lock the moisture in your face. Remember if you leave your face damp on, the water will actually evaporate and bring away some moisture from your face too.

2) Avoid applying moisturiser on your eyes area.

When the products say do not apply on you eyes area, it is good to avoid. This is because the skin around our eyes area is thinner and more sensitive than the others such as cheeks. So don apply moisturiser around your eyes, use eye cream instead. Moisturiser will be too moisturise for eye cream and this will cause the growing of milea seeds

3) Do not use moisturiser with SPF at night.

Moisturiser with SPF is designed for day use to protect your skin from UV rays. However, if you use this at night, there is high possibility your pores will be clogged and cause acne.

4) Do not forget to pamper your neck too!

We tend to ignore and forget our necks sometime. Do pamper it with the moisturiser too in your skin care routine. You wouldnt want a pretty face with unhealthy neck appearance rite?

5) Wait for at least 5 mins before you apply another skincare on.

After you apply your moisturiser on, always wait for a 5 mins for the moisturiser to settle on before you apply sunscreen or any make-up on. By doing this, you will find out that your makeup will actually easier to apply on besides stays longer and your face will not get oily so easily, this is what i found when i follow the tip!

Personal experience:

I saw this in Watson one day but i didn buy it because i am on a saving money period. I am actually quite excited when i saw that Yuberactive is giving out the sample to the member who send the request to them before the dateline. Immediately, i sent a request to them. I am very lucky to be selected as one of them to do a review on this cleanser. Received it in good condition in a pos express envelope :)

Vitamin E as the main ingredient of the cleanser is what attracts me to have a try on it especially when label write that it is made with Vitamin E from wheat-germ oil which is the most natural and expensive source of Vitamin E. @.@ but to my opinion, i think this cleanser is quite affordable though.

I don like the cap system although the tube form is awesome. Perhaps improve it with flip cap or those press in cap? I used more than half minute trying to put back the cap and it is quite annoying every time i have to screw the cap back to the tube. Other than that, i love the cleanser in tube form though.

The cleanser is not like those creamy one we usually use and it creates bubbles even before it touches water. I observe this when i am trying to squeeze a little amount out of the tube. Initially, the cleanser is in a cream form but after you lather the cleanser in between your hands, the creamy disappear leaving only the foamy on. I was like WoW, i don have to spend sometime latheing the cleanser to create the foam, this all happen like within "quarter seconds" only, so fast! I am a lazy person. Although i know it is better to cleanse my face with the foam rather than the creamy form directly from the tube, but i am just too lazy to do so. So this cleanser actually save my time! However, this cleanser don really lather well like others. It has a light scent too.

The product label states that it is Non-comedogenic and Hypo-allergenic. Non-comedogenic means that the cleanser will not clog pores which could lower down the incidence of pimple popping out on ur face. This is because clogged pores are more prone to acne. Hypo-allergenic on the other hand means the product is claimed to cause fewer allergic reactions. What a good news to those with sensitive skin!

The cleanser does a very well cleaning job. Besides, it keeps my skin supple, soft and bouncy. It doesnt dry out my face, no tighten feeling at all ! The cleanser offers moisturisation like what Vitamin E actually does. The cleanser is really gentle! My skin didn experience any breakout after using this cleanser so means it suits my skin.

Repurchase: why not?

- I gave it a lower rating due to the packaging of the cleanser, screw on cap is really not my type :(

This product is actually a wash off hair conditioner.

I apply this on my hair after i finishing washing my hair using hair shampoo. I leave it on my hair more than one minutes in hope for better result but is it better to leave on longer? I have no idea too, haha. Wash off after that and you will find ur hair soft to be touched!

One tip to share when you are using hair conditioner: Apply the hair conditioner on ur hair only, never apply it to ur hair scalp or else you will either find ur hair scalp itchy or you will experience more hair losses. This is because hair conditioner is not formulated for ur hair scalp. That is why i never want to consider to buy the 2 in 1 hair shampoo with hair conditioner.

I read a few negative comments of others on the scent of this hair conditioner. To me, i think the scent is quite ok, acceptable and it doesnt have very strong smell.

The tube is big and you will take quite some time to finish it. If you are thinking of trying this product, just go ahead!! I seriously love it! Cheap and effective, thats what we girls need!

Personal experience:

I put the soap on my new pig soap holder, so cute right the colour combination, it just make up my day!

i cut the soap into half so that i can hold it better, and i save another half bar first without wetting the whole bar.

It is moisturising but i do not use this for my face after i read some of the comment about how it actually dry up ur face, wouldnt want to risk this on my face. It took quite a long time before i actually see some effect on my skin, mayb because i am actually a tan-skin based and it is impossible for me to turn fairer beyond my original skin tone. The soap will only helps you to speed up the process to return to ur original skin tone, but not turning you fairer than ur original skin tone. This is not skin bleaching ya. >.<

Sometime if i have sports under the sun, this soap will come to a help if i got tanned more. But i will say in this case BnB arbutin works better in immediate effect! Sometime, i will wonder, when a product works too fast, does it have some hidden side effect? Will leave u the thinking work because i am searching for the answer too. Tell me if you know about it. :)

The soap smell a bit like orange or i can say smell like the little round orange lollipop that i used to eat when i am young, forgot the brand name though. This soap don lather as creamy as the other Cyleina soap which make it lasts a bit longer than the others. Just make sure u don leave it in water or else it will end its life sooner than you think!

Repurchase: Not so soon i think because i still got a whole half bar of it

This is the first year that i didn celebrate my birthday at home, kinda sad actually. I am turning 21, an important day in my life, i am official an adult now! Mummy sent me a birthday present last week. I keep it in my drawer because i want to have it on my birthday. Guess what is it? Foochow people's culture: parents will buy them a pair of lock and key to symbolise that they are adult already. But duh, this is a bit funny if you receive a lock and a key on ur 21st, isnt it? So mummy sent me a different present :) She was thinking of giving me a surprise but failed because she was too eager to tell me she actually parcelled me something! But never mind Mummy, i still think that is the best present ever, thanks for everything! I think i am the one who actually surprised her, sent her something last few days as an appreciation gift for growing me up, now i am 21, and i am still mummy's daughter! Nothing will change this.

I went to KL to visit Mr Pig again last weekend,

of course unavoidable,

my purse bleed so seriously this time although i didn shop much,

The opening of the bottle

This is one of the Cosway's body lotion that is enriched with pomegranate extract. I always adore the goats milk product and this time i decided to give it a try after having some good comment from my youngest sister.

The lotion smells great! The texture of this lotion is very light as compared to the Garnier's. It absorbs very easily and it is non-sticky. I can feel immediate soften of skin and it does smooth out my skin.

However, the drawback is that it doesnt seem to improve my skin's condition. It is not moisturising enough for me. I tend to feel that my skin is drier in the morning after the application on the nite before which makes me need to apply again before i go to class every morning.

It does no whitening too i guess after using it for nearly a month :(

It is quite a cheap body lotion to me with such a large amount but just it is not up to my expectation.

Repurchase: Maybe if i am on a tight budget.

Personal Experience:

This soap has the best whitening effect among the organic soap i have tried till now. But the drawback is that it is quite drying for my skin. My skin is not moisturised after i use the soap and there is a bit tighten feeling. So that is why i need to use some hydrating essence or day cream if i use this soap. So if you have drier skin, may be you can consider using cyleina soaps which are more moisturised, Cyleina strawberry is quite good too, i will do a review on it soon.

I cant see the effect of the soap clearly if i use it everyday. This mayb because i am looking at myself in the mirror everyday so i cant spot the difference. But there is one day after i finish my sports under hot sun, i was worry when i saw my dark face when i back to my hostel. Immediately, i went to wash my face using the soap. And the result is so so comforting! I use a whitening mask after that, and i can say i got back fairer skin when compared to the skin just right after the sports :)

The texture of the soap. It looked and smelled a bit like the typical hotel soap that is provided in the wash-room. The soap don really lathers well but it doesn't have fragrance so for those who don like the fragrance smell i think you will like it.

Repurchase: I don mind using this if i need any fast whitening effect.

I got myself two tube : La Source and Rosewater, but in the end i gave the RoseWater to my mum because i wan her to have smoother hand. After so many years of contributing to the family, she has rougher hand compared to before, so of course, Mums are for daughters to sayang rite?

The opening of the tube is quite big but you can actually control the amount you want to come out, just don press it too hard.

Sorry for the blur picture, but the texture of this hand lotion is quite light, not sticky and easily absorbed too...

It doesnt seems to help me with my peeling cuticle though :(

What i like about this hand lotion is it actually adsorbed easily into ur skin. I was too stingy last time to spend money on hand lotion because i think body lotion can be used on hand too, in order to save money. But, at last, after i read about many good review on the hand therapy lotion of this brand, i make my decision to have a try and the result i got is what i want! After u apply the lotion on ur hand, u may feel a bit stickiness, but after a while, the lotion will be fully adsorbed into ur skin. You wont feel like you are washing off a thick layer of lotion if you wash ur hand after a while, i can feel this if i am using body lotion. But sadly, the lotion didn help much with my peeling cuticle, mayb i need a stronger remedy for this. Overall, i love the smell of the La Source, it is not so strong, yet u can smell it, i just love the smell :)

Personal Experience:

At first, i intended to buy the normal 7-in-1 anti aging cream only. But the Olay sales girl comes to me and introduced me this product cause she say my face got some pimples and the cooling essence in this moisturiser will help me will my pimple. That is the main point i bought this, with higher price than the normal one. The cooling essence that the sales girl introduce to me is not actually cooling. When i am at the Olay counter, i did try it on my hand, it does feel cooling. But when i got one back and applied it on my face, the sensation is more to stinging than cooling. But after one week using it, the stinging sensation gone but still you wont feel any cooling too =.='' What i guess is mayb because my face got used to the essence? But i got less pimple popping out after using this, not sure is because of this moisturiser or because i am having healthier diet with vegetables everyday.

This product promises to fight 7 signs of ageing.Lets see what it does.

• Fights fine lines and wrinkles

I don have much lines or wrinkles so no visible result but i do feel firmer skin :)

• Reduces appearance of blotches and dark spots

No visible results. My scars and dark spots still remained.

• Moisturises dry and rough skin

My skin is more to combination oily. It does normal moisturising. One thing that i don like about it is i start feeling oily after a few hours after application. Mayb it is more suitable for really dry skin people.

• Makes dark skin visibly fairer

• Improves surface dullness for radiant and glowing skin

No fairer skin tone but my face has better complexion compared to before!

• Minimises appearance of pores

I don have visible big pores but it somehow does help when i found less appearance of pores on my face.

• Makes skin texture visibly firmer

Yes! My skin is firmer after using it.

The disadvantages of this compared to the normal 7-in-1 anti aging moisturiser is this product does not contain SPF. So if u are using this on the day time, make sure u apply another layer of sunscreen before you step out of your house. This doesnt matter much to me because i always like to apply sunscreen separately after moisturiser. This is because moisturiser with SPF usually will make ur skin looked oily after a few hours.

I like the pump design of this moisturiser. The round edge of the pump head really make me feel comfortable when i am pressing out the moisturiser. The pressing is not as hard as those others bottle. Nice one and thumbs up for the design!

Repurchase:I will only repurchase if i really couldnt find something else but overall i think it is good as a normal moisturiser but not a whitening one. I will give it half heart more if it has a cheaper price.

Hada Labo Arbutin Whitening Essence

Personal Experience:

Arbutin is an extract from natural plant bearberry; it is natural & safe with effective whitening properties. I heard that arbutin is the safest and most effective skin tone lightening ingredients that Japanese is using. So, I bought this just because i wanna make my face fairer, no harm trying rite. I always believe more in Japanese and Korean product because girls from those two countries have such nice skin that i will feel rugi if i don try it out (praise the advertisement, mayb it blinds me >.< ).

I like the pump design. It is very convenience as i just need one pump for my face and one pump for my neck, no extra will be wasted. This essence is a bit different from other. Its texture is not like those typical one which is very concentrated and oily liquid. You can see from the picture above, it is gel or cream like which make it absorbed into the skin easily when i massage it on my face. It is quite light-texture.

For hydrating, this product is a thumb up as i feel my face getting well moisturised every time after i applied it. It "locks" the moisture in our skin :)

For whitening, it don really have obvious effect but i do feel a little lighten of my skin tone. It helps up with my uneven skin tone but not on the scars. I still have some scar marks on my face remained. It doesnt help with freckles too, i got a few on my cheeks >.< However, those doesnt matter. I still love this essence cause it really makes my face looks cleaner overally after 2 weeks of using it! That is really out of my expectation.

Repurchase: Yes!
